Big Stinky Feet

Gabe: "Mommy look! Socks off!" said while proudly holding socks over his head.
Mommy: "Did you take those off because you have stinky feet?"
Gabe: sits down and smells own foot..."Yep! I have stinky feet!"

Also would you look at the size of that kid's foot? HOLY COW! Is it big or is it just me?

Books I'm Reading

Bloody Bones by Laurell K. Hamilton-This is the 5th book in the Anita Blake series. To be honest, I think I might be done with this series for now. It seems like it is the same format in every book. There are not many surprises. And although they are easy reads, I think I can find something that will be more exciting. In this book Anita goes out of town to raise some dead and gets mixed up in yet another power struggle between vampires. Except this book includes a couple faries and some other creature that is called Bloody Bones who apparently likes to kill naughty kids. It is an okay book but it was predictable. I will give it a 3 out of 5.
Blood Born by Linda Howard & Linda Jones-This was a very long vampire book that was so full of events it would take me an hour to explain it. It was fairly exciting but the end left me wanting A LOT more-I am thinking they were/are planning on a second book which I hope happens. Vampires, spirit warriors, and a war for the human race...like I said, full of stuff! The writing style took me some getting used to but once I got it, simple read. I will give this a 4 out of 5. Hope there is more to come!
Ice by Linda Howard-SURPRISE! I have read something that does not involve zombies or vampires or ghosts! Hooray! This is a short book about a woman who gets stuck in a cabin and has to be rescued by a man who used to torment her in high school. I wanted more witty banter between the 2 main characters since they used to hate each other but I guess if you are fleeing for your life from 2 crazy meth addicts with guns during an ice storm, witty banter is not high on your list. It was a nice short read but it needed more time/pages to really make it great. I will give it a 2.8 out of 5.
The Lunatic Cafe by Laurell K. Hamilton-The 4th book in the series was not my favorite. It is still better than the first but there is a big piece with the snuf flim that is just left unfinished and I just didn't like it. That poor victim doesn't really get any resolution and it doesn't sit well with me. I kind of saw the end coming and knew it was not going to be as satisfying as the others. But I am interested to see how the new dating situation works out for Anita. I will give this a 3.5 out of 5. Hopefully the next book is better.
Circus of the Damned by Laurell K. Hamilton-The third book in the series involving Anita Blake was really good. It explains a lot about human servants and how they work. It starts off like the others with a police case and then turns into a turf war between master vampires. I am interested to see if things pan out with Richard and Anita in the next book. It felt rushed in certain parts and I thought that not everything was really well connected but it was still good. 4 out of 5.
The Laughing Corpse by Laurell K. Hamilton- The second book in this series is MUCH BETTER than the first. It was not nearly as confusing as the first one. And the ending...wow! It is intense and spooky. I am glad I decided to give the second book a try because it was worth it. A 4.5 out of 5 but only because there is not enough Jean-Claude.
Guilty Pleasures by Laurell K. Hamilton-This is first book what appears to be a long series involving Anita Blake who is a vampire hunter/zombie raiser. This first book was okay but a little confusing in parts. Hoping they get better as the series progresses. I will give it a 3 out of 5.
The Pagan Stone By Nora Roberts- This was the final book in the Triology and it was probably the best one of the three. I was hoping to see more havoc at the end with the demon but I still wasn't disappointed. And I really liked the romance in this story. It was predictable but for some reason that didn't bother me with this series. Another 5 out of 5 for Ms. Roberts
